HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING -A MESSAGE TO EMPLOYEES
TO EMPLOYEES
HEALTH AND SAFETY KNOWLEDGE IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE IMPORTANT IN THE WORKPLACE
This qualification is an ideal qualification for you to develop an interest and knowledge of Health and Safety issues within the workplace and knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to a safe and healthy work environment.
The certificate is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), and is therefore part of the National Qualifications Framework.
The certificate covers 4 units:
• Introduction to Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
• Hazard, Risks and Risk Assessment
• Electricity, Hazardous Substances (COSHH) and Fire Safety
• Work Equipment (PUWER), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and First Aid
The teaching of the course is completed in 1 day and the workbook must be completed within 2 weeks of completing the course which are then forwarded on through your Training Provider for external verification.
The course can be “stand alone” although it may be more suitable as an “add on” to a First Aid at Work (FAW) or Emergency First Aid Course (EFA). In fact the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has become aware of research findings that suggest people with First Aid Training may have a positive influence on Health and Safety in the workplace. First Aiders may be in an advantageous position to help spread positive, basic Health and Safety messages throughout Industry.
WHAT BETTER, EASIER, EFFICIENT AND COST EFFECTIVE WAY OF SPREADING THE MESSAGE AND ENSURING YOU ARE TRAINED IN BASIC HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES THAN COMPLETING THE COURSE.
On completion of the workbook and external verification you will be issued with a LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY.
COST
The total cost of the package including training notebooks, verification and certification is £250.
